Annual General Meeting

AGM: Monday 26th February 2024 at 7.30pm in Thomas Graham Community Library.

You do not need to register to attend this meeting, but it will help us if you do. Just use this link registration email.

The agenda for the AGM is the formal business of the resolutions and voting on those. Following the formal business there will be a presentation on the Local Place Plan.

Voting on resolutions will be conducted at the meeting and through use of the form of proxy. We strongly encourage you to use the proxy form if you are not attending the meeting, so that we reach our quorum of members voting. Please complete and return the form to the Village Club or by email to scdt@strathblane.online no later than 48 hours before the meeting.

for the following purposes:

Resolution

1   To receive a report by the Chair on the activities and future plans of the Trust

2   To receive the Financial Statements of the Trust for the year ended 31 January 2023 together with the report of the Directors and of the Independent Examiner Download financial statements

3   To re-appoint Catherine Baxter CTA as Independent Examiner of the Trust and to authorise the Directors to agree her remuneration

4   To elect new Directors from the conclusion of the Meeting Download director list

Forms of Proxy: to be valid these should be received at the Strathblane Village Club or by email to scdt@strathblane.online no later than 48 hours before the meeting.

The Board is made up of a maximum of 9 directors and up to 2 Community Council appointees. This means that there are 5 vacancies. Co-options are also available to increase the mix of skills.

The Board is really keen to encourage fresh blood and strongly urges members to put their names forward for election to the board if they have the skills and a little time to make a contribution to their community. We are urgently looking for people with financial skills.

Nominations for directors require to be received 7 days before the AGM on 26th February 2024. Nominations must be in writing and signed by 2 members with the nominee confirming his/her willingness to stand.
