The library is is the product of a partnership between Strathblane Community Development Trust (SCDT) and Stirling Council. It is the first community-council partnership to deliver library services in Scotland.

The following facilities and activities are being offered at the library: Wifi, computer access, photocopier, coffee machine, accessible toilets. There are various reading groups, Bookbug, Film Club, Fun with fabric and citizen advice drop-in sessions. The whole year through there will be a variety of classes provided.
